The Winter X Games by ESPN in Aspen, CO will mark a great milestone for HEAL Clothing. We will be out there to show support to 2 athlete that will be representing HEAL and what HEAL stands for.
The past couple of years ESPN X Games and Adaptive Action Sports have started to include the adaptive class to its program. This class features athletes of action sports that have suffered injuries leaving them with permanent physical disabilities. But this is proving to show people that these are not disabilities but as AAS would put it, great abilities these athletes have.
In January of 2010 the X Games will have an adaptive Snowcross race which will feature two athletes HEAL has had the pleasure of working with. Doug Henry and Mike Schultz will be out there racing to show people that they have an amazing ability to overcome their disabilities and bring inspiration to others with these same conditions and to those without.
Both Doug and Mike are top athletes of their sports (Doug Motocross/Supermoto - Mike Snowcross) and are now going to be showing everyone an injury will not end their careers in the racing world. This will be Mike's second appearance in the adaptive racing after winning Silver in the Summer X games Motocross adaptive race. Doug has won the Gold medal during the X Games for Supermoto before his injury and now is returning in the adaptive class of snowcross and monoski.
HEAL wishes both these amazing athletes the best of luck out in Aspen for this years Winter X Games. We will have a new Doug Henry shirt as well as a "Monster" Mike Schultz shirt out before we venture to Aspen this year. So keep an eye out for these new items and you can show your support for the athletes that bring inspiration to a countless number of people.
